It’s a benefit for Musicians Assistance Program<\/a><\/p>\n I’m honored to be able to be of service and to honor a great musician who never had the benefit of any “assistance”. I would honestly rather have him playin’ bluegrass down there in San Diego with Chris Hillman than looking larger than life in an old picture. In short, I wish he’d lived.. even if he would’ve gotten old and uncool.. I’ll bet I’d still listen to those old records. He was a man, a musician, a father and sadly, an addict..
