I saw Charlie Terrell's "Tougher Than Grace" last night and I have to say, I was blown away. It's a theatre production put on at the King King with him and a band performing songs along with a play and stunning video projections. Ambitious and a gamble and it really pays off. I'm always behind someone doing something different, and a swampy, Southern-Gothic musical performed in a bar is a reach and one that doesn't exceed it's grasp. Congrats, Terrell...

Okay, now the world takeover begins... I'm calling on the troops to get out and vote for some of our posse... Austin Hanks is on "Nashville Star" this season and Zachariah is on the ESPN "Dream Job" deal. We've gotta watch these shows and push these guys as far as we can, seldom do we get a chance to tell the jerks in the media what we like.. I like these guys, maybe you do too.. if so, do what you can. Thanks...

Anyway, Sweethearts Of The Rodeo is back again. Last month was pretty dang cool.. Lucinda Showed up, Michelle Shocked jammed and we did a bunch of songs we'd never done (and in some cases, never heard). You oughta get out to see this. I hear Skip Edwards (Dwight's band, among others) is gonna come jam with us on piano and there's no tellin' who's in town to jump up and sing.

It's a record release party for The Blasters.. by the way... I'm sure Buster's coming, maybe some of the other guys? I don't know. The record's called "Blasters LIVE" and it's comin' out on Shout! Factory Records, come down early (8PM?) to hear it and win stuff.


West Coast Grand is opening at 9pm (they've got one hell of a buzz these days.

Well, it's been a trying time lately.. I dislocated a rib yesterday. I've had a bout with Vertigo. (nothing bad, just ear stuff) "What a drag it is getting old.. " The truth is, I'm pretty blessed in the health area so don't think I'm bitching, just giving some explanation if I've not been around lately.. just licking my wounds, physically and spiritually, getting ready to return to the fray..
